My doctor told me to slow down.
But my hands never listened.
For over 45 years, I’ve worked from the same small workshop in Asheville, North Carolina.
No website. No advertising.
Just a wooden bench, a few simple tools, and people who kept coming back.
I never planned to sell online.
Last spring, my granddaughter Claire sat across from me and said,
“Grandma… there are people out there who need this, and they don’t even know you exist.”
She was right.
I never made jewelry to follow trends.
I made it because people asked for help.
A woman who couldn’t close her hands in the morning.
A nurse working long shifts, looking for something that eased the strain.
Friends, neighbors, strangers… all searching for something simple that made a difference.
Over time, one thing became clear.
Copper wasn’t just something beautiful.
It was something people kept coming back for.
Every piece I make is shaped by hand.
No factories. No mass production.
Just real materials, worked slowly, the way I’ve always done it.
Copper has been trusted for generations.
Not because of marketing, but because people kept wearing it… and kept coming back.
I didn’t learn that from a book.
I learned it from the people who wore my work.
What started as a quiet local tradition is now reaching homes far beyond Asheville.
And truthfully… that still feels a little surreal.
But one thing hasn’t changed.
Every piece is still made with the same care,
the same intention,
and the same belief that simple things, done well, matter most.
Thank you for being here.
